*I expect…*

I expect that one day people will respect me,
For who I am,
And for what I do,

I expect that there will be a day when,
People treat me as an equal,
And not as a superior or inferior person,
Because I am neither,
I am just another human being,

I expect that one day,
there won’t be as much hatred and violence,
In the world,
But a world that has united,
Into a place where there is less suffering,
And more happiness,

I expect that everyone can realize,
That they have the power,
To become whatever they want to be,

I expect that people will realize,
That they can make their dreams come true,
And so they wouldn’t need to look for a star at night,
To make such a wish that they think would never come true,

I expect that everyone can find true happiness,
No matter how much suffering they have endured,
They can find something or someone,
That truly makes their lives worth living,

I expect that the world I live in is filled with,
People who dream of a bright future,
And try their hardest to make it come true,
Because I expect that everyone in this world knows,
That life is short,
And is only worth living if you enjoy it.
